Legal notice, terms of sale & terms of service

Who you're buying from

This is an individual trader ("empresário em nome individual") operating with an open activity at Finanças, not a registered company. Invoices are issued under Leonardo Filipe Baptista's own tax number.

What you're buying

Every product listed as Available on the tools page is a source-code file (Oxide/uMod plugin for Rust, or a Discord bot's source) delivered as-is, for self-hosting on your own server or infrastructure. You receive the source and a configuration guide — nothing is a hosted service unless the listing says so.

Licence: one purchase covers one server you operate. You may modify your own copy for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, or re-publish the source code, in original or modified form, to a third party. Updates released for the version you bought are free; a future major rewrite may be sold separately.

Delivery

Digital delivery — by email, to the address you provide at purchase — normally within 24 hours of payment being confirmed. There is no physical shipment and no shipping cost.

Right of withdrawal — and why it doesn't apply once delivered

Under EU consumer law, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends as soon as delivery begins — but only if you were told this in advance and you explicitly agreed to it. That agreement will be a checkbox at checkout, separate from the payment button, along the lines of: "I request immediate delivery of this digital content and I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once delivery starts." Until that checkout exists, no purchase is final until you've confirmed by email that you want to proceed, and you can still change your mind before delivery.

Faults are a different right, and it isn't waived

Waiving the 14-day "change of mind" withdrawal does not waive your right to a working product. If a plugin genuinely doesn't do what its listing describes, or fails to run against a normal Oxide/uMod install, that's a conformity issue under Portuguese consumer law (Decreto-Lei 84/2021), and you're entitled to a fix, a replacement, or your money back — tell us what's wrong at hello@hardside.shop and we'll sort it out honestly.

Prices

All prices on this site are in EUR, one-time, per server, with no VAT added (see VAT status above). Prices can change for future purchases; the price you paid for what you already bought never changes.

Services — terms of service

This section covers the services on this site: AI services, web development, security audits, monitoring, training and custom work. Products (plugins and bots) follow the sections above.

Proposal and acceptance. Every service starts with a written proposal stating scope, timeline and price. The contract exists once you accept that proposal in writing (email is enough). Work outside the accepted scope is quoted separately before it is done.

Payment. Unless the proposal says otherwise: setup fees and projects are paid 50% on acceptance and 50% on delivery; monthly services are paid monthly in advance.

Monthly services. A 3-month minimum applies, because the setup work is only recovered over the first months. After that you can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. The month already paid is not refunded.

Ownership. Once paid in full, the code and deliverables made specifically for you, and your data, are yours. We may reuse our own generic, non-client-specific components in other work.

Personal data. When a service processes personal data on your behalf, we sign a data processing agreement (art. 28 GDPR) before starting. AI services run with your own AI provider account and key whenever possible.

AI-generated content. Content produced with AI is checked as described on each service page, but you approve what is published under your name, including any AI-disclosure required by law.

If something we delivered doesn't match the proposal, we fix it at no cost. For business clients, our total liability is limited to the amount paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, except in cases of fraud or gross negligence. Consumers keep all their statutory rights, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for services unless they asked us to start earlier and acknowledged it.

Complaints and dispute resolution

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may use an alternative dispute resolution body: the CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.cniacc.pt), or another ADR entity listed on the Portal do Consumidor (www.consumidor.gov.pt).
